Parent Teacher League (PTL)

Tst-john-ptl.jpghe purpose of the St. John Parent Teacher League (PTL) is to be an organization with the objectives to develop a closer relationship between the home and the school, especially through closer cooperation between parents and teachers, to become better acquainted with our school, its work, and to assist in securing the necessary equipment for the school. They also are there to provide parents with assistance in their God-given task of training Christian children. 

The meetings or activities are held during the school year. The PTL Board publishes a listing of the year’s activities.  

Fundraisers help support numerous school projects, as well as desired equipment and material purchases. We will have a Daddy Daughter Dance on February 10, 2024 and the Annual Fund event will be held on March 16, 2024. Please SAVE THE DATE and join us for a night of fun, fellowship with all your friends. 

All parents are cordially invited and encouraged to become active participants in the PTL.

PTL News

We are always looking for parents to join us that are willing to help with some projects coming up soon. The big one is the Daddy Daughter Dance in February. We need help with planning, decorating, food, and other jobs during the dance. 

Please join us in the cafeteria to see what else we are planning for the next few months. Bring your kids and they can play in the gym or sit quietly during the meeting. We will also be streaming it live on our Facebook page (St John Lutheran Christian Day School PTL). If you are watching it online make sure to let us know so you can be marked as present. Parents that attend the meeting will earn points for their kid’s house. 

If you have questions about the meeting or what the PTL (Parent Teacher League) is all about, please let us know. Also, we are keeping track of volunteer hours so, please remember each parent is asked to volunteer 2 hours this school year. 

Joining the PTL is an easy way to see your volunteer options and pick how you would like to help the school.

Father Daughter Dance

(Grandpas, Uncles, Father Figures etc. all welcome) Feb. 10, 2024
Please return your registration to the school office by Friday, Feb. 2nd. Registration form available in the school office.

Spring Fling

(Annual Fundraiser) will be held on March 16, 2024. Trivia Night with Dan Deibert as our host and comedian. A mailing will be sent to all school families and congregation members in February. A corporate sponsor letter was sent in December. Everyone who attended last year had a great time. Please SAVE THE DATE and join in on all the fun!

Sechler Pickle Sales

Stop in the School Office for all your pickle needs! There are a variety of different types and they are DELICIOUS!  Tell your friends and family.  We need to sell the last of the inventory. Please check with the school office to purchase a jar today.
